White Beer with Blue Berries – White Beer and Haskap – Dark Beer and Cranberries – Red Ale and Onions
What is Haskap? Also known as Honeyberry, it is a berry that tastes like a cross between blueberries and tart raspberries and is part of the honeysuckle family. They grow in cooler climates like Canada, Japan, Russia and Poland.
Did you know? The idea of confit originated in France and means to preserve food with salt, sugar, acid, fat, or anything with preservative qualities.
Why we love Garlic Expressions
A secret weapon in the kitchen, this vinaigrette infused with pickled garlic cloves may be used as a salad dressing, marinade, sauce or dip for bread. It is the perfect complement for salads, meats, vegetables, breads, pastas and more.
Herma created a delightful salad on Sunday (pictured above) which included mangos, hardboiled eggs, onions, walnuts and, of course, Garlic Expressions. You can only imagine how the contribution of each ingredient in combination pleased our taste buds, not unlike the colors in a work of art or the beautiful notes of a symphony.
