Gifts for Easter
Now that we are in the month of April you may want to think about shopping for the Easter Holiday. Little bunnies in pretty dresses and PJ’s may be found in our children section along with a furry monster/book box set, books and tulip fairy dolls.

Herma’s Juicy Drumsticks
Herma surprised us one afternoon at the store by simmering drumsticks in an Emile Henry Tagine for 2 hours. Also in the pot were shallots, olive oil and 4 tablespoons of Ti Kay La’s Red Pepper Paste. Because of the circulating steam created by the tagine’s cone-shaped lid, the meat on the legs ended up being fall-off-the-bone amazing. And the red pepper paste added just the right amount of heat. Yum!

Other suggestions for Ti Kay La’s Red Pepper Paste – You may also add a little paste to grilled shrimp, meatloaf or a meaty stew which will give them that same subtle heat.

Tips for your Springtime Spread (as seen in the above picture)
prosciutto-wrapped asparagus (steamed) – fennel salami rolled and placed in a pretty crystal bowl – springtime colors that compliment each other like Brebirousse’s peach-colored rind, peaches, carrots (not seen in picture) and yellow miniature tomatoes – Tiger Shrimp placed on the rim of a martini glass filled with one of Herma’s Signature Products – mini blueberry shish-kebobs
Notice that the cake plates and crystal bowls allow for different heights, which makes the spread more visually pleasing.
Also with this particular spread, green garnish and bibs of lettuce are key to filling empty spaces.
