Beekman 1802’s Lavender Scent

Biancolilla, Nocellara and Cerasuola olives are handpicked, cold pressed and milled within 48 hours of harvest. It boasts a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, meaning that this olive oil is produced with olives harvested exclusively in the province of Sicily.
To the nose it is delicately spicy. On the tongue it has a light fruitiness with sweet almond finish. And to the eye it is slightly dense, green in color with golden yellow highlights.
Enjoy drizzled over seafood dishes, salads, grilled and raw vegetables and bread. Also nice in vegetable soups.
Since 1894, Oleifici Barbera have produced their extra virgin olive oil in Custonaci, a small town near Trapani, in the beautiful island region of Sicilia. Barbera was the first company to package EVOO in glass beginning in 1898. They also were one of the first to use unfiltered olive oil. They refer to the production of their olive oil as packaging liquid gold.
