Herma’s News – Canada Day Celebrations
I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind. – John G. Diefenbaker
Dear Customers,
We are so fortunate to live in a country with so many freedoms – a country with so much kindness in the hearts of its people. A place where one can live in dignity and comfort no matter what his or her circumstances may be, and a place that strives to respect all individuals no matter their heritage, life-style, or belief. It is with great pride that we want to wish all Canadians a gloriously happy 150th.

Also of special mention…
Halloumi (Cyprus, Greece)
Due to its refreshing qualities, this cow, goat, and sheep cheese is generally served during the warmer months with watermelon. The cheese also tastes lovely when grilled, pan-fried or thinly sliced on a salad. Pairs well with beer.
Charcuterie for your Cheese Board
Seed to Sausage
Chorizo (cured)
A well known Spanish style salami full of bold earthy flavors loaded with a variety of chilis, mildly spicy but bold in its flavor. A small amount can be used to add complexity to any dish or simply eaten on its own with a good drink.
Saucisson Sec (cured)
Salt and time are what we use to make this authentic French style salami. That and some garlic and pepper. This and our chorizo won us an award as one of Canada’s top artisan food producers.
Genoa (cured)
Dry cured salami made with red wine. A well balanced flavour makes it good for all ages.
another special salami to mention…
Artisinal Handcrafted Salami
from The Great Canadian Meat Company (Whitby, Ontario)
Hands down, this salami is one of our most popular, and for good reason. It is incredibly flavourful and delicious.
We hope you will make Herma’s an important foody stop as you prepare for your 150th Canada Day Celebration. On behalf of all of us, have a wonderful celebration – Happy 150th everybody!
Sincerely,
