He who binds to himself a joy does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies, lives in eternity’s sun rise. – William Blake

Take delight in dipping your baguette into a lovely balsamic and olive oil mixture or slather with a creamy cheese and sweet fruit spread – yum!

Manoucher’s Persian Noon Loaf, which is hand-shaped and folded around feta cheese, olive oil and basil, is also delicious folded around delicate layers of porchetta, thin slices of mild gouda and a little aioli or Dijonnaise.

Picnic in Provence Cheese List

Brebirousse D’Argental (Lyon, France) Decadent and delicious, this sheep’s milk cheese with orange rind and silken texture is sweet and buttery. Enjoy with baguette, Porchetta and an apricot fruit spread.

Langres (Champagne, France) This small round cow’s milk cheese with wrinkly rind has a firm pate that melts in your mouth, leaving a complex taste. Langres’s signature is its concave cap that many cheese lovers in the Champagne region use to cradle a splash of sparkling Champagne. Cut a slit into the middle to allow bubbles to seep through.

Bleu D’Auvergne (Auvergne, France) This cow’s milk blue has a medium intensity and is crumbly, smooth and creamy. Lovely enjoyed with red wine and crusty bread, this blue is also ideal crumbled into a salad or melted on a steak or burger.

And of course, our triple creme Chateau de Bourgogne (Burgundy, France) is always a crowd favourite.

Something to think about…
