NEW Beekman 1802 Gift Sets
We have loved Beekman 1802’s goat’s milk lotions, hand creams, face creams and soaps ever since they were introduced to us two years ago. Now they are available in lovely boxed, gift sets.
Beekman’s products absorb beautifully into the skin leaving it soft and supple while also providing skin with much-needed nutrients.
With winter just around the corner along with our constant use of harsh hand sanitizers that dry the skin, Beekman 1802 is one of our favourite go-to body care products.
Herma’s Menu Suggestion: A Taste of Italy
Within our newsletter each week Herma will suggest a menu that is suitable for one, two or four people. This menu will be great for the regular in-store shopper, but especially nice, too, for those wishing to order curbside pickup.
The possibilities to create a classic Italian meal at Herma’s are limited only by your imagination.
Antipasto Platter
The antipasto: The traditional Italian meal starts with something to nibble on. Arrange a small platter with sliced meat (prosciutto, soppressata, or salami), cheese (Beppino Occelli’s al Barolo Vino, or Brie de Rouzaire), and several of Jesse Tree’s antipasto offerings, such as Gourmet Artichoke Hearts, Grilled Eggplant, Sundried Olives, or Belazu’s Balsamic Tomatoes, or Bellei’s Baby Onions in Balsamic. Add a full or half Manoucher baguette and your antipasto plate is complete.
Zuppe or Soup
Zuppe: Why mess with perfection? The Village Grocer’s Minestrone Soup is the perfect zuppe course.
The Primo – Pasta Dish
The Primo: We have so many pasta options, it was hard to suggest just one! But we love Sacla Pesto with Truffles or Sacla Pesto Rosso, made with sundried tomatoes and basil. Heat the pesto until warm, drizzle in a little il Frantoio extra virgin olive oil, toss with Rummo’s Fettucine, and top with shaved Parmesan Reggiano DOP. Outstanding!
Make your meal special by starting with a glass of Prosecco and ending with an espresso and a glass of grappa or limoncello.

Try this soft-textured cow’s milk cheese while the season allows. Enjoy with Prosciutto, pears, sundried tomatoes and even asparagus.
