Dear Customers,
There are few meals each year that call for us to put our best food forward. A meal that hearkens us back to days when hours of preparation and special care would be put into special sit-down dinners.
Meals such as these, with loved ones sitting around the table, are what memories are made of – the best kind of memories! At Herma’s we look forward to being of assistance as you plan this extra-special meal.
The Village Grocer Turkeys – The best you can buy!

Evan from the Village Grocer says he has the best turkeys you can buy and we have to agree. Evan gets his amazing turkeys from a small family operation in Alma, Ontario. Five years ago, when he found the family that provides him his turkeys, he insisted that the turkeys be treated a specific way.
1. The turkeys must be fed a specific mix of grains and corn for their entire life (not force-fed)
2. The turkeys must be free-range.
3. The turkeys must be gently defeathered, which may leave the odd feather on the bird, but will certainly ensure flavor.

Fresh Turkeys
$4.99 per pound
Turkeys, fresh free range, will be around 14-22 lb this Thanksgiving season!
small = 14+ pounds, medium = 18+ pounds, large = 20+ pounds
Fresh Capons
$5.49 per pound
small = 7+ pounds, medium = 9 pounds, large = 10+ pounds
How much to order for Thanksgiving…
- Less than 16 Pounds = 1 1/2 Pounds per Person
- More than 16 Pounds = 1 Pound per Person
- Capon = 1 1/2 Pounds per Person
- And don’t forget to factor in leftovers!
