The season has officially begun and it warms our hearts to think of all the memories to be made and excitement to be had during the coming holidays. We are also greatly looking forward to this coming weekend at Herma’s.
Herma’s Dutch Christmas
Saturday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Studio
For our final Open House we will be offering Nederlandse (old Dutch style foods). A bountiful spread of sweets and savouries will be laid out on our dining room table. Music and song will also be provided throughout the day. We hope you will be able to join us for what we believe will be a grand old time commemorating Christmas in the Netherlands.

Thank you Luca and Sara for introducing your wonderful cold smoked salmon last weekend, which, by the way, is available in our refrigerator for you to take home and enjoy. We were also stunned by Sara’s beautiful cake and were so glad to share it with our customers.

Lindenhoff Farmstead Cheese
This is a superior gouda from Holland made with the raw, non-pasteurized milk of red and black Holstein-Friesian cows. The grassy summer’s milk from these cows produce caramel undertones that pair beautifully with whiskey.

Norah’s Message (Signature Products)
I love providing Herma’s customers with Signature Products, especially at this time of year as they are perfect for holiday entertaining. All products are made fresh weekly and have a shelf life of approximately 2 weeks. Our Savoury Cheddar, Beer Cheese, Stilton Pate, and Spicy Pimento may be frozen and may also be bought frozen. Be sure to ask at the Cheese Department for frozen Signature items. All the best as you plan to entertain this holiday season!
