Herma’s News – Jacqueline Kent, Food Presentation on Saturdays and de Buyer Pots and Pans
October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again. – Hal Borland

This unique line will surely bring something chic to your kitchen. It also boasts being made of 100% natural minerals that is coated with beeswax against oxidation.

The classic style of Nostalgy and its stainless steel, curvy body is pure elegance. Its wide magnetic bottom spreads heat evenly while the flared edges allow for easy pouring of all food and liquids.

Cheese Department
Beautiful cheeses abound in our cheese boutique, many of which are cut and ready for the taking. Of these beautiful cheeses, here are a few we would like to make special mention of…
Featured Cheeses
Ruscello Black Lemon Cheese
We are struck by the dramatic flare of this black gouda cheese from the Netherlands – striking on any cheese board! It is also deliciously refreshing with its explosion of lemon.
From Lattebusche…
Piave Mezzano DOP
Piave Mezzano is an Italian cow’s milk cheese that is produced in the Dolomites area of Belluno province of Veneto. The Mezzano is offered at 61 to 180 days and comes with blue label. The flavor is strong and sharp with a pleasant yet faintly salty taste. Great on its own and lovely used with salads and pastas.
Piave Vecchio DOP
Piave Vecchio Selezione Oro only reaches its full potential at one year of aging and comes with a red label. It is a hard, grainy and crumbly cheese that is pleasantly mild. Wonderful grated over salads or enjoyed with walnuts and pears.
Bleu Fume
Saint Benoit du Lac in Quebec
Bleu Fume is a semi-soft blue-veined cheese made by Benedictine monks from the Abbaye de Saint-Benoit-du-Lac in Quebec. This sweet, mild blue has a delicate woodsy, smokey flavour.
Its crumbly texture and pleasant aroma of mushrooms makes this an ideal topping for salads, burgers and steaks. Also try pairing with honey or chocolate for sophisticated dessert.
