Cheese and Charcuterie Trays for Easter
Cheese and Charcuterie Trays are a wonderful way to entertain those visiting during the Easter holiday. If you would like us to create a beautiful platter for you just call 905-885-9250 or stop by. 24-36 hours notice is greatly appreciated.
Always looking to make improvements!
We hope you will like the changes we have made in the Cheese Department. For your convenience we have moved our fridge that showcases wheels of cheese (ready to be cut to your liking) so that it sits adjacent to our fridge with cut, ready-to-purchase cheeses. This will make it easier for you to assess what we have available for purchase.
Featured Cheeses of the Week
Iberico from Spain
Iberico is one of the most popular cheeses of Spain and is made from a mixture of cow’s, sheep’s, and goat’s milk. Our Iberico has been aged 12 months and is a beautiful alternative to Manchego. Iberico’s flavor is herbaceous with a very mild goat tang that blends with its buttery sheep milk. Shred it in an omelet or melt it over pasta, potatoes or rice entrees. For a tapas, serve it with Chorizo or ham and a crusty bread.
Pairs well with Medium Spanish reds or a good Pinot Noir.
La Leyenda – Curado Al Brandy from Spain
This sheep’s milk cheese from Albacete is cured for 10 months, rubbed with oil and fine herbs, and then soaked in brandy for 2 months. This cheese carries with it a beautifully balanced blend of brandy and herbs with a buttery undertone.
Featured Charcuterie
Tuscano Ham from Italy
A traditional baked ham covered in herbs and spices. Just in time for Easter!
Also find Village Grocer Hams at Herma’s next week as you prepare for Easter celebrating.
