Herma’s News – A Time to Remember – Looking to the past and the future.
I’ll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new. I’ll be looking at the moon, but I’ll be seeing you. – Irving Kahal, Sammy Fai
Dear Customers,
This Saturday we remember the men and women who have fought for our country. We honour them for their heroism and self-sacrifice. We appreciate them for taking an active role in preserving our freedoms and promoting our cause for humanitarian interests around the world.
With this remembrance we can not forget those veterans who fought in World War I and World War II when there was so much at stake. To all those who have served, are now serving, and to the families of those military personnel who have lost their lives, we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Words are not enough to express our gratitude for your service.
Coffee and La Rocca Cake will be served in Herma’s Studio from 11:05 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome.

Cheese Department
We are proud to feature two amazing cheeses and a delicious ham from Italy!
This week we will be sampling and talking about..
Speck Alto Adige PGI
For centuries the people of Alto Adige/South Tyrol have preserved ham in their own unique way adhering to a strict production code. These hams are exposed to the fresh Alpine air and spend a week in cold smokers that are fired with local beechwood and perfumed juniper branches. 22 weeks later, the hams acquire a deeply savory and sweet, lightly smoked flavor. – Uncommon Flavours of Europe
Pecorino Romano PDO
The first Italian cheeses were made from sheep’s milk 2000 years ago to feed the soldiers of the Ancient Roman Empire. Sheep still graze on wild and semi-wild pastures filled with native flora in the regions of Sardinia, Lazio, and the province of Grosseto where only Pecorino Romano PDO can be made. – Uncommon Flavours of Europe
Asiago PDO
For 1000 years, milk-producing animals have enjoyed a tasty diet of lush, flower-filled grass in the provinces surrounding the Asiago Plateau. It can only truly be produced in the mountainous area of Italy where the mild climate, pure air, and rich vegetation come together to create an unparalleled flavor. = Uncommon Flavors of Europe
