If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. – Dalai Lama

Dear Customers,

We hope you are enjoying the fine weather we are having. Finally, we can enjoy picnicking, planting, and frolicking outdoors.

We hope you will consider us as you make preparations for fun outdoor activities. We consider creating cheese platters and purchasing charcuterie, barbecue sauces, juicy steaks, and fun snack foods a must for outdoor fun this time of year. And, of course, don’t forget our Signature Products made fresh in our very own kitchen.

We are definitely in the mood for fun. How ’bout you?

Our idea of fun food on nice weather days is…

Emile Henry’s Provençale chicken kebabs using the Grill Stone

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 courgette/zucchini
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 12 dried apricots
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp sesame
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Kebab Preparation #1

Cut the chicken breasts into squares of around 2 cm (3/4”).

Prepare the first 4 kebabs, by inserting a piece of chicken onto the skewer, then a dried apricot, and continuing like that until the skewer is full.

Mix together curry, sesame and a little olive oil.

Brush this mixture over the kebabs.

Kebab Preparation #2

Cut the courgette/zucchini into thin slices.

Prepare the remaining 4 kebabs, starting with a piece of chicken, adding courgette/zucchini and then a cherry tomato. Fill up the skewer.

Mix together some olive oil with the thyme.

Brush this mixture over the kebabs.

Put kebabs on grill stone. Place on barbeque until the chicken is cooked.

Cantal Cheese

Available for sampling this Saturday is one of the oldest cheeses in France, production having begun as long as 2000 years ago. This is a hard cow’s milk cheese created in the Auvergne region of central France. It is firm, brittle, and has a crumbly paste. This cheese, produced in the rugged mountains which is exposed to extreme weather, has a peppery and spicy aroma with a salty and sharp flavour.

Go ahead and have fun with this cheese. Enjoy it with grapes, apples, pears, walnuts, hazelnuts, and crusty baguette bread. Pairs nicely with fruity red and white wines. Great for a picnic!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Best Regards,
