Creamy Peppercorn Whisky Steak Sauce
While decadent, you will not find this creamy peppercorn sauce to be heavy. The whisky balances and lightens the cream and the addition of peppercorn adds a light touch of heat for a clean finish on the palette. Molasses with lots of good nutrients adds another layer of depth to the sauce. But don’t let all this sweet talk fool you! Creamy Peppercorn Whisky is all savory and umami.
Serving suggestion…Add the Creamy Peppercorn Whisky sauce to the pan you cooked the meat or veggies in, and slowly warm it up at a low temperature so that it absorbs the bit of flavour left in the pan. Give the sauce a good stir and slather your meat or vegetables with the sauce. Is nice also served from a gravy boat.
Enjoy the peppercorn sauce with our Flank Steaks or Striploin Steaks from the Village Grocer. Goes well with the addition of mushrooms, onions, potatoes and/or fries. Gourmet Inspiration’s Smoke & Spice Rub and Canadian Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce would be delicious used with your steak in addition to the peppercorn sauce (although not necessary).
Canadian Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce
Canadian Maple Syrup adds sweetness and depth to the overall flavour of this barbecue sauce. Think rich, smooth, deep and full. The acid of the dark balsamic vinegar mellows out the sweetness for a lovely punch of beautiful flavour.
How to use…
Slather it on ribs – Use as a Burger Topping – Steak!!! – Top your meatloaf with this BBQ sauce before you bake it. – Add to your meatball mixture for a great flavour punch. – Use as Glaze for your wings.
