Featured Cheeses – This Saturday
Cape Vessey Goat
This delightful cheese won the Grand Champion Goat Cheese award at the 2008 Royal Winter Fair. Salty and complex, this award-winning cheese is creamy on the palate with a rich flavourful finish. Pairs well with fruity complex red wines like Pinot Noir, Cabernet, and Merlot.
We feel so lucky to have local cheese producers near by, especially Fifth Town Cheese, which is just down the road. Another 5th Town Cheese we will be featuring will be Capreggio. Capreggio is a goat cheese similar to Taleggio DOP, a cow’s cheese which we will also feature on Saturday.
Made in the Netherlands for generations, this is one of the few remaining Dutch farmstead creameries. The colour is orange with beautiful crystallization. It is a buttery cow’s milk cheese with a savory, nutty bite. Pairs beautifully on cheese board with cherry jam.

Its baaack! Choco 21 (chocolate infused blue cheese) and Amaretto Cheese (amaretto infused blue) were such a hit over Easter. We are so happy to be able to offer them once again.
