The Fabulous Beekman Boys

Advertising Executive Josh Kilmer-Purcell and his partner Dr. Brent Ridge who was former Vice President of Healthy Living for Martha Stewart purchased the historic Beekman Farm in 2007.

After loosing their jobs due to the recession of 2008, they moved from New York City to their farm in upstate New York. With the help of their farmer neighbor and his herd of dairy goats, they began producing soap and cheese. Their passion and courage has led them to create a line of products that are pure, clean, healthy and luxurious.

We are very excited to be carrying their amazing products.

Stonewall Kitchen – Humble Beginnings

Stonewall Kitchen began in 1991 and has grown from producing a few dozen jars for a farmers market to creating about 75,000 jars daily. Over the years they have received 29 prestigious awards. We are proud to carry over 75 of their many products.

“Our original recipe was inspired by my grandmother and her delicious blueberry pie. I wanted to create the smell of her freshly baked pie filled with tasty, ripe blueberries. And we did just that. Every time I open our Wild Maine Blueberry Jam, I think of my grandmother.” – Jim Stott

A unique fact? They use Pure Sugar Cane in their jams which is much healthier than high fructose corn syrup often found in other jams.

Featured Cheese

Buffalo Mozzarella DOP from Cilento

Buffalo Mozzarella DOP

Fresh and exciting for Spring, this authentic Buffalo Mozzarella hails from the Campania region of Italy using the milk of water buffalo. What makes this mozzarella so special is that it contains twice the fat content of cow’s milk.

This slick white ball of cheese is packed in brine and is truly beautiful to behold.

How to Serve

Buffalo mozzarella is served in salads, in calzones, on pizza or crusty bread. Of course, you could also lift it straight from its briny bath and eat the cheese with your hands. We are excited to offer it as an addition to our summer-fresh cheese line-up. Make sure to let the mozzarella rest at room temperature for at least half an hour to release its exquisite fresh taste.

Caprese Salad Recipe

1. Toss garden fresh tomatoes gently with fresh basil, good quality olive oil and a sprinkling of fleur de sel and place in wide, shallow bowl. 2. Drain ball of mozzarella on a paper towel and split in half. 3. Gently tuck the mozzarella within the nest of  tomatoes. 4. Baguette should be paired alongside the salad so that you may mop up the juices and olive oil.

You may also place buffalo mozzarella with a little salad of fresh pea shoots and mint that have been tossed in Olio Al Limone (lemon olive oil).
