This Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. special guest and friend, Dot Worobetz, of Brighton, who recently interviewed for a documentary, Age of the Senior Entrepeneur, will be sharing information about and offering samples of her special and versatile gourmet sauce.

Brie de Meaux
Brie de Meaux comes from the town of Meaux, 50 kilometers to the east of Paris. It has a long history. Evidence of this cheese dates back to the year 774 within the chronicles of Charlemagne. In 1814, during a European Cheese Tasting Contest, at the Congress of Vienna, European leaders awarded this brie, Le Roi des Fromages or The King of Cheese. It is milky and rich with underlined sweet and buttery flavours of mushrooms or truffles and almonds. The cheese pairs well with Champagne, a red Bordeaux or Bourgogne (Burgundy).
Other Cheeses
We also have a lovely heart-shaped cheese called, L’Attrappe Coeur, from Quebec that is fluffy, white and creamy with notes of fresh milk and butter. Pretty on a cheese platter, delicious when spread on a cracker. Also try Limoncello Gouda from the Netherlands – another summer favourite. And to add salty flavour to your food, add fresh Pecorino Romano PDO, grated. Mmm…delicious.
Just arrived! Le Gruyere 1655 from Switzerland tastes of browned butter and fresh cream. Great for melting!
