Herma’s News – Get your pizza here! Whose your Daddy?

We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep. – William Shakespeare

Dear Customers,

The forecast shows sunshine for the weekend and, once again, we are thinking of barbeque fun. Emile Henry’s Grill Stone and Pizza Stone are wonderful for any chef that enjoys cooking on the barbeque.  If you are sick of hot dogs and hamburgers, try pizza on the barbeque instead.

Creating customized pizzas on the barbeque would be a fun and unique way to celebrate Father’s Day this year!

Here’s what’s great about it…

Emile Henry Pizza Stone

Leave your oven off and barbeque your pizza for fun with friends and family outdoors! The Emile Henry Pizza Stone was designed for use both in the oven and on the barbeque. These are just a few amazing attributes that make using the Emile Henry’s Pizza Stone ideal…

  • Once preheated, its Refractory Ceramic accumulates and diffuses heat to get a crispy crust.
  • The ridges on the surface of the Pizza Stone prevent the pizza from sticking.
  • Its glazed ceramic also, over time, allows you to slice the pizza directly on the Pizza Stone.
Great news! Emile Henry is 20% off at Herma’s for a limited time only! – This includes for Pizza Stone and Grill Stone.

Top it Off – Ingredients for your pizza…

Cathy suggests 1677 Gruyere from France and Buffalo Mozzarella for your pizza. Both delicious and great for melting. Also don’t forget a slice of fresh Parmesan for grating. Find in our Cheese Boutique and ask for assistance if needed.

We also carry…

Pizza Dough from the Village Grocer – Tomato Sauces from Italy – Salami – Prosciutto – Olives – and other Anti-Pasto Toppings

Next Week – Vintage Pizza Pie Company Tasting

Cheese Department

Come to our cheese boutique to stock up on all your favourite cheeses for a weekend of outdoor fun. Here are just a couple of lovely cheeses we feel will be perfect on a cheese board shared with friends.

Featured Cheeses

from La Station de Compton in Quebec

Comtomme, produced from the organic milk of cows, is a mild, yet complex and interesting cheese with aroma of apples and butter. While the texture is smooth, it melts quickly and is not sticky. This cheese is excellent served on a platter or used in a raclette. Pairs beautifully with a strong cider or a lightly woody Cabernet Merlot.

Five Brothers

from Gunn’s Hill Artisan Cheese in Ontario

This cow’s milk cheese combines traits from Gouda and another Swiss variety called Appenzeller. It has a creamy and rich flavor with sweet overtones. Pairs well with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pilsner beers.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend. Be sure to come for a visit!

Best Regards,
