Dear Customers,
This week we are providing you with all sorts of food ideas that we hope will comfort you during these trying, cooped- up days at home. The possibilities of combining pastas, sauces and sauce ingredients are endless. Find below information about pastas we carry, recipes for pasta dishes and a link containing 12 helpful pasta tips. We also love the idea of cozy soups for winter, so look for some of what we offer concerning that as well.

Rummo Pasta

Beginning in 1846, and for six generations, the Rummo family has created a durum pasta that is approved and applauded by the Italian Federation of Chefs. Rummo Recipe – Sure to delight!

RUMMO’S LINGUINE No 3 with Lemon and Anchovies

3/4 lb Rummo Linguine N° 13*
3 organic lemons, juice and zest
1-3 Balistreri Girolamo Anchovy Fillets*
1 clove of garlic
salt and pepper to taste
a sprig of mint
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil*

Sauté garlic in olive oil. Add anchovies and sauté until it begins to break up. Add lemon juice. Boil Linguine for 10 minutes. Drain the pasta and toss well with the sauce in the pan. Sprinkle with mint and lemon zest to taste. Toss and serve.

RUMMO’S PENNE RIGATE No 66 with Arrabbiata

For a little heat add Mamma Nuccia’s Arrabbiata sauce to Rummo’s Penne Rigate No. 66. For complexity, if you desire, include anchovies, capers and/or olives (all found at Herma’s). Grate fresh Parmigiano-Reggiano over the dish for a finishing touch. Buon appetito!
